Pure silk taffeta fabric has a plain weave and is characterized by a warp density higher than the weft density. Taffeta fabric has a tight and semi-rigid structure, with a shiny and bright appearance, rustling at every slightest movement, very light and brilliant.
The iridescent reflections in the iridescent taffeta are obtained by using yarns in different colors in the warp and weft. This fabric is mainly used to make women's clothing such as elegant dresses, full skirts and stoles, but also in furnishings to make silk curtains, silk sofas and soft silk cushions.
