In the north-west of Scotland is the archipelago of Western Isles (or Outer Hebrides), these remote islands are a true paradise on earth rich in natural beauty, area of origin and production of fine woolen fabrics protected by the Harris Tweed Authority . The real Harris Tweed is the one in pure virgin wool obtained from Scottish Blackface sheep, then dyed, spun and woven exclusively by hand by the inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides.
